“Andrew … ought to be the most revered of artists, (he) has made no distinction between his life and art”  Derek Jarman

The joyful, sparkling Andrew Logan Museum of Sculpture (ALMoS) in Berriew, Powys opens its doors for its 28th season on Saturday 1 June 2019 at midday.

ALMoS is a wonderland, a fantastical jewelled treasure trove housing a glittering selection of Logan’s signature sculptures and jewellery: original costumes and memorabilia from his renowned Alternative Miss World’s, a shrine to the late Divine - one of many works inspired by Andrew’s friends and muses - and other dazzling treasures of sculpture, portraiture, jewellery, photos and costumes.

The 4m tall Cosmic Egg is back home this season, after being out on loan to the National Trust’s Buckland Abbey property in Devon in 2018.

ALMoS opened on August Bank Holiday 1991 to a literal fanfare and Andrew wielding oversized scissors to a crowd including Dame Zandra Rhodes, designer Celia Birtwell, the late Dr John Menkes and Andrew’s own family.  Many have travelled since to Berriew to visit, including Rocky Horror Show’s Richard O’Brien and Patricia Quinn, Anita Pallenberg, Mavis Nicholson, Molly Parkin, Fenella Fielding, Rula Lenska and Amanda Barrie.   Come and add your name to the list from midday on Saturday 1 June.

ALMoS is open Saturdays, Sundays and August Bank Holiday Monday in June, July, August and September from 12 noon to 4pm.  Admission £3 Adults, £1.50 Children, Students and Concessions.  Contact or 01686 640 689 / 07813 885 906.
